Nancy Kovacs is a writer and editor. She was the editor of Robert Bateman’s Backyard Birds and the 25th Anniversary edition of The Art of Robert Bateman. She is also co-author of Robert Bateman’s Birds of Prey, Polar Worlds, and Vanishing Habitats (not yet published). Both Backyard Birds and Birds of Prey were finalists for the Silver Birch Award.

Nancy has extensive editorial experience, including work for the University of Toronto Press, Ontario Nature (Federation of Ontario Naturalists), and the Pontifical Institute of Mediaeval Studies Press. She has experience in nutrition publications and cookbooks, and for nine years was managing editor of the Downtown Georgetown Messenger.
